In a ceremony held within the Old Capitol Senate Chamber on May 1, the University of Iowa Postdoctoral Association (UIPDA), in coordination with the Graduate College, presented Dr. Nitin Karandikar with the 2019 Most Outstanding Postdoctoral Mentor Award.

Scott Steward-Tharp, DDS, PhD, resident in Oral Pathology at the College of Dentistry and postdoctoral researcher in the laboratory of Dr. Nitin Karandikar, was selected as a trainee on an Institutional National Research Service Award (NRSA T90) from the National Institute of Dental & Craniofacial Research.
